OFF TOPIC (I'm sorry)

Talking of "secret" storage spaces; I assume everyone is aware of the space on the inside of the glove compartment (at the very top) to store the owner's manuals?

BTW, local XR specs have heated/cooled glove compartments, controlled by the passenger side's climate control setting.

BRB, checking glovebox and "secret" hatchback storage area right NAO!!!!!oneeeelevenety1111

I'm loving this car more than my girlfriend's legs. Well, almost as much.

EDIT: Yes, on the top of the glovebox, there is a "slot" that fits the owner's manual perfectly. These guys thought of everything. But I won't be using it to hold my manual. I have all my yaris paperwork, including my window sticker, in my Toyota "welcome package", which includes the owner's manual, warranty information, etc. all in a nice, vinyl binder. Feels hefty, and expensive. :p

I did not find any "secret area" in the hatchback. I know the spare is under the fiberboard/carpet "floor", but I saw no 'secret compartment".

Anyone care to clue me in? Am I missing something?

i also looked for that secret compartment in the glove box in my 2012 3 door and i found it, maybe tomorrow i'll check for that other secret storage area near the spare tire.

Ohhhhh...that area. I knew about that. It is a great place to stow valuables away from prying eyes (not that the hatch cover doesn't do this already).

This little car is such a clever girl.

@ SkyyUniverse

Nice car!

I like the front and rear bumpers. It looks a lot more "aggressive" than mine.
Rear spoiler looks cool too. I wanted to retrofit one, but
a) it requires drilling into the car - not something I'm very comfortable with
b) it costs around US$600 locally! Then you still need to get it painted...

JayGee, thanks. the new models do have a more "aggressive" looking style to them. That was one of things that made me pick it. I was looking at Kia Rio, Nissan Versa and Yaris. The styling of the Yaris just appealed to me more.

I also like the older style Yaris now that I started paying attention to them on the road. Really nicely shaped and fitted little cars all the way back to the start.

I too have a gen3, but our local spec have different looking front and rear bumpers to yours.
