Does anyone have the glowshift a-pillar gauge pod?

http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/06-07...illar-pod.aspx
Glowshift’s 06 - 07 Toyota Yaris Liftback Triple Pillar Pod is a triple gauge pod specifically designed for your Yaris and will mount three 52mm or 2 1/16th inch gauges while bringing a unique style and look to your vehicle’s interior. Each A-pillar pod is crafted from the highest quality ABS plastic available to withstand cracking, fading, and warping while still giving your Yaris a custom fit and finish. This pod is currently offered in a clean OEM black style while still offering the user the ability to paint the pod if needed. All necessary mounting hardware and instructions are included with each order.

* Full Size Black Triple Pillar Pod
* Holds three 52mm or 2 1/16th inch gauges
* Crafted from the Highest Quality ABS plastic Available
* Includes Mounting Hardware & Instructions
* 1 Year Warranty & Free Installation Support

Right, so... it's an OEM BLACK? a-pillar... Okay, don't got that. It only fits 06-07's... Okay, don't got that...

As long as the fit and finish is ok, anybody know?

Is this it? More pics if it is?

Yikes. I just bought one. This weekend, I spraypainted it with Valspar primer which is almost the same color as the regular interior plastic pieces. Next, I'll spray it with some eggshell clearcoat to protect the primer.

Mike, are you saying that the old a-pillar molding stays on the car and this just mounts on top of it? It kinda makes sense now considering that it had no tabs to connect to the rest of the car.

Huhmmm... Well, please post pics when you finish it up Noogie. So you are using it at the a-pillar totally? You didn't attach it to the original, if I understand you correctly?

I painted the Glowshift gaugepod this weekend. Next is a satin clearcoat and then it goes into the car. I am disappointed that it mounts over the exisitng gaugepod and does not replace it. They give you three screws to fasten it to the existing pillar. Lame

I don't know what holds the existing a-pillar cover on. This thing has no clips. I'll try to see how hard it is to remove the a-pillar cover this weekend.

I'd just 3M that bad boy in and call it a day so you don't have to use the screws

Yeah, that's a thought. I just need to choose the third gauge and stick the entire assembly on one time.

+1 I would 3m it. Camelll Does the pod bother you and create blind spots when you drive around? The A pillar stock in my liftback without any gauges gets to me sometimes

FWIW, I think I'll be going with something like this. I'll have an Ecogauge, tachometer, and volt meter possibly.

Ditto, that's why I'm going for the above, and the blind spot issue.

I mounted my original tach to my dash, it lights up and glares off the windshield at night. Super annoying.

I bought the glowshift A-pillar, and now I'm waiting for it to get warmer so I can paint it/install it..

Ryan, the color you see is Vaspar primer. It's a really good match for the OEM color and sticks well to the plastic.
