ND Miata wheels fit perfectly on a 2nd gen Yaris
This very well could be old news around here but I thought I'd share anyway. I bought an '07 2 door hatch with the 5 speed manual a few weeks ago for $275 from a friend of mine and am currently restoring her to her former glory. One necessary item was tires, all four were bald and one of the 15" steelies were bent. So instead of buying new tires and a wheel I went on Craigslist to look for used rims, and i found some brand new wheels and tires from a 2021 Mazda Miata. Same lug pattern, hub size, and the same offset. They are one inch wider than the old 15"s were, and they are 16" wheels, but instead of the original 185/60/R15s the new tires are 195/50/R16s, so it ends up being almost exactly the same outside diameter. I have no issues with rubbing after simply putting them on... although my car isn't lowered so YMMV.
But anyways. I think they look awesome and I wanted to share with others. I already posted this to r/Yaris and was told to drop by here. I'm excited to dig through the wealth of knowledge and make Miss Blueberry (that's her name ) even better than stock. I don't know how to embed pictures into text on this forum but I think I linked them as attachments. If not I'll edit it and figure out. -Micah Edit: forgot to mention, the rust is an issue that will be taken care of in short order. Among other things of course :) |

I recently bought the same wheels however my car came with steelies and would like to confirm what type of lug nuts should be used with this wheel configuration or is it safe to use the steelie lug nuts. Thanks.

You use the lugs that came with the rims. Some rims have different seating designs, flat, cone, bubble, etc.
The yaris's look great. Holy smokes. I can't believe you got the blue one for so cheap. I'd kill for it An easy way to figure out which type of seat the rims are is to look up the car's lug nuts on rock auto and steal the information off the "info" tab of the individual part Last edited by IndestructibleYaris; 02-03-2022 at 08:55 PM.
