Boosted fun, after work.
After a stressful day of wrenching, I decided to roll to the local dragstrip. It is an 1/8 mile run down little place, but it is only 5 minutes from work. I ran on my every day steelies with factory tires, turned boost down because track was not too sticky about 19psi.
A local car club took video of their runs ( Camaro SS, 5.0 stang, ford 150.) I ran against the Camaro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzE4Q...ature=youtu.be Note the caption when we race. Cheers.

wonder what Chew's engine/transmission set up in a hatch would do to the SS, :D
now that would be something I would really want to see.

^ Only if it can hook up. Blown_xA is a very good driver from what I see. I get too excited and spin my tires, which does NOT win me races.

Yes, It comes down to traction availability. In my first few runs I ran full boost and had a hard time regulating traction, ran slower! I'm really contimplating doing a boost per gear setup so I can just floor it and let the boost controller do the work.

This is a very good idea. Boost per gear is the way to go for better traction. The Avcr and Evc [hks] controllers have this function.
And it will put less stress on the gearbox/drivetrain as well. |
