FS: TRD CAI $150

SOLD

I guess it is called cold air intake since the filter itself is hidden under the fender.

Used for sirca 8k miles, filter is rated for 35-50k miles (then you need either clean it using the cleaning kits that retail for around 10-15 bucks or buy a bew filter). Originally bought from TRD sparks.

Pics: two metal tubes, two silicone couplers, and the filter (the cone type with TRD logo) itself. Installation is very easy, top notch build quality. I was able to install the filter by removing the wheel only and reaching through the wheel well (- you do not have to remove the bumper ).

I installed this CAI simultaneously with Megan muffler and could feel the increase in power right away (especially in the 4000-6000 rpm) - feels like the engine is breathing rather than suffocating ))

USD 150, price includes shipping

i had that bypass installed initially and then removed it as there were cases when it would be sucked into the engine (there was a discussion here about a year ago). do not have it at the moment. plus the filter is not much lower than the stock intake pipe (OEM round intake pipe about 2 inch in diameter)

as i indicated above included are two pipes, two couplers, the filter itself as well as the mounting hardware

The filter is hidden under the fender - good protection against street dust. Also, there is bunch of products on the market of similar design without bypass valves (Anyways lots of bypass valves is available if desired). The idea with filter under the fender being that this design kinda helps keep the air supplied to the engine cooler (hence CAI term). IMO though temperature wise it would be comparable to the designs with filter under the hood.
