Power Locks
I went to a couple of places to get a couple of different pricing for power lock on my yaris since i got everything manual.
The cheapest that i was quoed was from best buy. some guy told me that the would do it for about $90 a door. Is that good? or should i do more looking around? |

at my store we do it for 90CND per door labour and parts, so your BB quote sounds about right

Don't forget the power pack is $1400. And includes all sorts of stuff I simply don't want. With that extra $1000 I can start to create a better car.

in canada we were offered the LE package for $6-700cdn extra, comes with power locks, power mirrors, 2 rear speakers, and rear windshield wiper.
i bought an Viper alarm/immobilizer and got the keyless entry option installed with it for about $250cdn. |

ok its official lika referee's whistle!!!!
I got my power lock done and they did it for 330. using prestige alarm system. Not the worst alarm but pretty far from a viper. This is my only one problem. They setup the alarm system to trigger the door to lock and unlock so the problem is: HOW THE HELL DO I LOCK MY DOORS ONCE IM INSIDE THE CAR!! so i"ll be goin back 2 the swap shop next weekend to see if they can add a switch to control the locks besides the alarm. OOh yeah almost forgor.. The had to take out the actually locking system to figire out how it works.. so with some modification the managed to install rod actuators when it worked with only cable. i was watching them do it and i still couldnt figure it out.. It took like 5 hours. |

So it worked with having the cable type not the rod type? Because my best buy told me that I would have to get the stuff from my toyota dealer.
