New guy first post

Hi, My name is James and the wife and I purchased an '07 Yaris Sedan in black. I am 32 and from highschool till two years ago I have always had 5.0 Mustangs. About two years ago I sold my last 5.0 and got out of the scene. I purchased a brand new '07 Tacoma. Well when the wife needed a new ride we went with Toyota and bought the Yaris.

I have to say I have driven some high horse power cars in my life and horsepower wise the Yaris is the weakest thing I have ever owned, BUT it also may just be the most fun to drive!!!! I LOVE driving this little car down a curvy road so much. It's like an overgrown go-cart! I am thinking of trading my Tacoma in on a liftback because of the MPG. I just found this site and look forward to learning more about the Yaris.

Welcome to YarisWorld. I think people who mod their little car need their heads examined. I have an appointment for Friday.

What IS it that makes it so fun to drive? I'm trying to figure that out!!! For one thing, I feel like I'm sitting way up high compared to my former car (Suzuki Swift hatchback) -- I think the Yaris has an almost ridiculous amount of passenger/head room -- but there's something about turning corners that really does have that "go-cart" feel; anyone else?

Thanks for the welcome guys I appreciate it. And I am not sure what makes this little cheap car so much fun to drive, but I love it and have a blast everytime I drive it.
