New wheels... and Toyota warranty!

I just want to tell you a story...

My mother bought a brand new 2006 Matrix XR two weeks ago from our single local Toyota dealer in the arear. She HATE buying and choosing car, so I was there to help her doing a good choice. When the saleman explain the warranty coverage of the car, they told her than if she put bigger wheels like 17" or 18" wheels, they will immediately void the warranty on all direction/suspension components. They also tell her than if she do any modification (exhaust, intake, ect) except Toyota/TRD parts, they will immediately void the entire warranty on the car. Obviously, my mother is 55 years old and she never plan to do any modifications or put bigger wheels on her Matrix. But I just want to bring you this interesting story. :)
