Final Product: 2009 temperature controls on a 2008

I also painted my center console flat black.

Part numbers:
55901-52270: Base Sub-assy, Heater
55902-52120: Control Sub-Assy, Heater
55903-52360: Knob, Heater Control, No 2

Total cost is around $130.00.

One issue I did run into was the middle knob. The one I was given was for a Yaris with no A/C. The center button to turn it on was just a black nothing. So I pulled the black trim ring and bulb off that knob and put it on mine with the A/C button. Problem solved.

Oh, and if you do decide to do this, ensure that when you install the new knobs that everything is lined up properly! It took me a while, after pulling off the trim ring, to get it lined up properly so I could select all the different options.

Yes, looks good. Do you think, now that they are in that the black on the knobs matches the black on the dash?

Mmm, yea I guess so. It matches the dash enough. It doesn't look out of place anymore, like when it was all silver.

Did you paint the silver trim by the doors too? This is something i want to do to my sedan eventually. Since i plan to install a aftermarket deck. That way the black kit dosnt contrast too much to the silver bezel. Just paint it all black so it has a sleek clean look.

Looks great, Duck! I'm not too fond of increased smudginess though.
I need to find a way to do this without attracting fingerprints all over the place...

It was about 20*F when I took the pics. Those are actually like condensation/moisture prints from my hands.

I hated the big Fisher Price plastic silver knobs. They looked ghey to the max. This was worth every penny to me.

And they now light up amber, forgot to say that. It's much more calming now.
