I'm pretty sure your score needs to be above 720 to qualify for the 0%. They pull Equifax, but will use a different bureau if you request it. When I applied for financing, the guy just asked me which of my scores was higher and used that one to be sure I'd get the best deal possible.

Also, you can apply online to get that part out of the way before you go. That's one thing I wish I would have done.

You can call Equifax, Experian, or Transunion and ask them to mail you a copy of your full report twice a year for free...the reports I have gotten this way have included my score (at the time of mailing) and were fee. If you go online you can get your reports without the score for free at annualcreditreport.com Usually they only charge you like $10 or so to get your score online as I recall

Equifax usually judges the hardest and the other two usually report higher scores

Sweet -- I'm above 720 so I should be able to get 0%

No free credit scores; you can get your reports for free at annualcreditreport.com once a year. You can get the real deal credit scores for $15.95/bureau or all three for like $40 at myfico.com - the ones you get elsewhere aren't accurate.

You can get them in the mail for free though as I recall...Equifax sent me my report with the score and everything for free after I called and requested one. Maybe they screwed up and forgot to charge me?

IIRC twit is correct, you can get your reports for free but not the score - you must have slipped thru the cracks bird

So take the selling price add yout taxes, title and registration (and dealer documentation fees if any) subtract your downpayment and divide by 36.

Just so you know at 0%
$10000 = $277.77 per month
$15000 = $416.66 per month

Now consider this the standard rate for a 60 month loan is around 6.29% and a $15000 loan would cost you $313 per month

It depends on what your budget will support.

I'm planning on payit off within 6-12 months...so the 36 month term is probably what I'm looking to do

Can you elaborate on the dealer discount?

you should be able to get about $1,000 off the window sticker from the dealer itself . There's a bit of an markup . Is the 0% through TOYOTA ? If so , the additional discount is applicable . Wouldn't have any fiscal impact on the dealer .

some TOYO dealerships are doubling the TOYO rebates for their own discounts . Ex.'09 COROLLA : $1,500 TOYO rebate , Dealer Discount : $3,000 . That's $4,500 off the M.S.R.P.. That tells me there's room to play ( markup ) and sales are down . You take the bull by the horns in todays market . Don't ume the postion .

That's impossible, 720 is the maximum.

But yes, you need to figure in the "excellent" category.

My score is above 720 but the lowest rate they could offer me was 7.5% on 36mo. Is it because of my age?

I'm about to start a new thread about this seeing as my situation has changed and I'm planning on paying cash instead of financing at all:)
