shadow under badges?

I was thinking about taking my yaris badge off to put the vitz one on there to match my front emblem....

was wondering if anyone had a problem with taking the badge off and having a differnt shade of paint from fading around the letters???

I have an 07'... it doesnt look faded but its a whole differnt story when you take it off...

Lol, thanks.

Well, unless you have totally ignored taking care of your car's finish, it shouldn't happen.

After you remove the OEM badge, you can always polish the area with a polish/cleaner and you should be OK.

Just do it!

If you've never waxed your car and the clear coat is coming off, then you might have a problem.

it's just that it's almost impossible to wax properly around the letters.

my trunk lid was repainted after 2 years, and i removed the yaris badge about a year after the job was done.

My Yaris was bought new in April, 2007. I took off the Toyota after six months and recently took off the Yaris. There was no difference under the emblems. I park in the California sun.

I took my badges of after a year of California sun ... no problem. Just needed to polish the area and it was like they were never there.
