Spoiler installation gone wrong

Hey guys,
I got a RS Spoiler and wanted to install it on my yaris....
So I painted it (not the best paint job) and tried to install it

It had two screws that needed to be drilled into the back of the yaris and put in. So I measured the screw width and drilled a 7 mm hole at the back. But the screw didnt go in....
So I took a 8mm drill bit and expanded the hole....
Now the screw is a bit loose

Can you give me a way to fix this stupidness of mine?

Also, I thought it will be fine, so I covered the top of the screw with a cap so that the screw doesnt fall out... now I cant access the screw

I was gonna get an RS spoiler, but i'll prob be getting a panel and paint shop to do the work. Where did you end up getting yours from? Sorry to hear about the drillling problem, that kinda sucks.

Try some automotive double sided tape. You can pick up a roll at your local Bunnings for ~$6-7. Are the caps that you placed on, not removable?

Can't you just use a larger screw?

I ended up drilling holes from underneath and using bolts, washers and nuts -- my spoiler isn't EVER coming off.

from underneath... hmmm... that sounds like a plan as well... If I somehow strip the the back panel from the hatch, I should be able to see the bolts sticking in??
