TRD Clutch put in: Break-in noise?
I just had my TRD clutch, new flywheel, and throwout bearing installed.
I started off in 1st gear, and I could here an odd squeaking/squawking sounds. I went and had lunch, then took it back to the dealership. (I figured it was a throw-out bearing). The tech told me the TRD clutch has 8 "fingers" on the case, whereas the stock clutch has 12, and that there might be a bit of noise until it breaks in. He said give it 100 miles, and the noise should go away. Is there any break-in period for a clutch? Is this noise attributed to what he said?
