Speakers for 2009 4DR LB
I need help. I'm about to replace the OEM speakers for my 2009 4 door hatchback. I've read the sticky, and it says 6.5'' upfront and 5.25'' in the back, but it doesn't specify the depth. Should I be looking for shallow mounts (under 2'' depth) for the windows to clear all the way down? If not, how deep can I go without using any custom made spacers? I just want to reuse the stock speaker frame or whatever comes with the new speakers.
How hard is it to wire the speakers? Can I just buy some plug 'n play wiring harness? Any recommendations for what speakers to get? I'm not interested in a component set, just regular coaxials. My head unit is a Pioneer AVIC 310BT with a 14W RMS spec. I'm not looking to get an additional amp to drive the speakers. I just want to buy the right speakers that match the head unit - maximizing its 14W RMS spec. Should I get 2-way, 3-way, or 4-way? Thanks for the help/input. |
