Extending Sun Visor

Is there a sun visor made for the Yaris that extends out when turned out to the side? The one I have on my 2010 doesn't and it is to short to be of any use. Part number from YarisWorld contributer/supplier would be prefered.

08's and older had the extension. The thought on why they were eliminated on 09+ is because of the curtain side airbags.

I was at NAIAS last month and I thought the 2011s have the extending visors.

If installed in the 5-door LB, do they pass the door edge when rotated and extended?

I am not sure, but I don't think so. I actually had 2 sets of these that I sold. One set was off Crashy, who is a 2008 3dr and the other set was off of a junkyard 2008 3dr.

I'm sure that side curtain airbags would blow that extension right off. Safety measure is my bet.

It was not eliminated on my 2010 and I have side curtain airbags. Where are you getting your info from?

The part number for the visor appears to be 268.TO1G08.

Thanks for the suggestion. However unless I wear my hat sideways it won't be of much help and I don't really care for the rap star look. I drive north and south 60 miles everyday so I plan on getting the extendable.

That's not a correct format Toyota part number. The part numbers in the EPC are:

2009+ Right: 74310-52710-B0
2009+ Left: 74320-52810-B0

2008- Right: 74310-52671-B1
2008- Left: 74320-52771-B1

I'd be curious to see the part numbers from the 2010 that has the extensions.

Good to know - So, it really looks like the "theory" from the other thread is bogus...

I was thinking more of this - my driving hat.
However, since you probably don't want to look like Harrison Ford either, I'll shut up now.
Good luck with the visor.

I have a 2009 LB 3-door, and mine don't have the extensions. So maybe it was part of an options package?
