Lowering Suspension - Performance or Aesthetics

Hi all, new to the forums... I have a stock 2007 sedan and the stock wheels with hub caps are the only thing I don't like about it, so I'm going to buy some new wheels and tires. I see in a lot of threads that people lower their suspension when they get new or larger wheels, is this for a performance or comfort reason, or purely aesthetics? I ask because I actually like the "4x4" look.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I want stiffer suspension, not so much lowering. goku87 Wheels, Tires and Suspension Forum sponsored by The Tire Rack 7 06-26-2009 12:50 AM
