Fit question

I played it super conservative on my current wheel/tire package:

15x6.5
+40
195/55/15
Lowered on Tein S-Techs

I found a set of wheels that I really like that are:

15x7
+28
No tires

I know the fronts will rub in hard cornering, bumps (my current setup does, too). If I buy this setup, would I be wise to opt for a 195/50/15 tire instead? Will the rears be OK?

When I was running 16X7 +32 in the rear with 195/50/16 rubber, dropped 1.5 inches, the passenger side rubbed on hard dips. A bit of camber rectified that.

My rears rubbed with passengers on 15x7 +26 with 195/55/15. When I went to 195/50/15 I had no rubbing, but some more ugly fender gap. (DF210's with stock struts.)

I would guess you'd be fine with +28 on 195/55/15's unless you have more than one passenger often.

Or you could go with a few other options with an even less chance of rubbing?
195/45/15 or 175/50/15 (my favorite) :P
The amount of passenger that ride with you would play a major factor like 33OH said.

Ummm. 33OH... plz make a thread with your "new" Miata :) pretty please.

EDIT: Thank you 33OH!

My car is on S-Tech springs and right now I have 15x7's with a +25 offset and 195/50's. A hard enough corner with a bump in it will make the front rub, but it doesn't happen very often. The rear has plenty of room.

@Thirty-Nine: What kind of wheels are you looking at?

@Tougeghost: What wheels do you have?

I was looking at a used set of ATS Cups. However, I don't think I'll pick 'em up now.
