^ Yes 100% it is.

You should post pics. From what I am reading you might have it upside down.

It appears to me that when you lower the car it will. Just might need some assistance getting it all lined up and then lower slowly. The rubber thing will work also.

Hard to tell from the one picture.

There is a depression in the lower spring perch. The spring end point should sit in it perfectly. You may have the spring upside down, or the whole assembly upside down, or it may be correct and just need to be on the floor.

If you want to take more pics, I can tell more. I have contacted Tanabe with your picture as well.

The car is functioning very well right now with the spring on the bottom.... Im sure it makes no difference... I felt unsafe with the adjuster part wobbling on the raised ring on the lower spring holder plate thing....

I have some other questions though...
The front is maxed out and still higher than the rear.... any suggestions to get lower? I am gonna take out the lock ring... am I supposed to modify the bump stops on the coilover any? Then taking out the helper springs will make the ride worse right?

Im almost maxed out on the rears just going to take off the lock ring then I should be groovy. Im going to take pics tomorrow in the light! :)

Thanks!

Shouldn't the collars be on the bottom end of the springs?

The rear looks to be correct in your picture.

If you take out the top smaller diameter lockring in the rear you'll get a bit more drop.
To go even lower, you can remove the rear adjuster completely and just run the spring like stock.

In the front:

DO NOT cut the bumpstop. It is there to keep the shock from bottoming out and will not change your static ride height
DO NOT remove the helper spring. It is there to keep the main spring in place. You'll notice that when the car is sitting the helper is completely compressed and does not affect ride height much.

You may safely remove the lower lockring on the front which should get you a bit lower, probably no more than 1/4".

The best way to get significantly lower will be to replace the front spring with a shorter or softer one. You currently have a 65mm x 170mm 4KG/MM main spring up front with a 1.4KG/MM helper spring. Any change to this may void your warranty with Tanabe and may also cause the strut to wear out sooner.

If you replace the main spring with a 170mm 3KG/MM spring, the car will sit lower. You can also replace the main spring with 140/150/160mm length at 4KG/MM or 5KG/MM. It depends on how much lower you want to go and how much ride comfort you're willing to sacrifice.

Tanabe have 65mm x 140mm 4KG/MM main spring in stock. This will drop the front of your car another 30+mm (1.2") which may be too much. A better compromise may be a 140mm 5KG/MM spring or a 160mm 4KG/MM spring (both are special order)

In my setup (Ksport) the rear collar is under the spring. Not sure if it really makes a difference but
thats what my install called for

you have the rears upside down. the height adjustment collar goes on the bottom...then you'll get a good seat on the base.....id fix that ASAP

pretty sure the red spring on the front goes on the top, too

I had some Function&Form coilovers like that in my crx up front. The smaller coils went on the bottom.

I do believe the adjustment sits on the bottom also like thebarber and lkev says.. I think they are upside down too

They look upside-down compared to the way my Megan coilovers were.

No. Helper spring goes underneath the main spring.
