Push-Button start?

I just seen CTscott's vid on youtube on jdm push button start, good job btw! But I was thinkin that I need that, would a basically universal one work just as good?

it should! Garm has one in the clearance section right now :)

It's on my list of things to do soon, too.

wait.. isn't this useless?..yeah, you could have push button start.. but you'll still have to put your key in to unlock the steering column and get it to start anyway right? so.. key in, turn to on, then start with a separate button? lol might as well just turn the damn key.

but maybe its something different?

if you hide the button under the carpet you can make it a trick to start.

Yea it is......the jdm yarii has it, IMO it gives a lil luxury/performace car feel to the lil eco-box

Yeah, without a proximity key as part of the equation, I've always thought of this as a gimicky mod. My money can go elsewhere.

I would totally do this mod if I could do the proximity key part of it.

One of my buddies used to do maintenance on police cars and they started putting in the secret switch under the carpet so that people would quit driving off with the cop cars.

The generic PTS kits will work fine. The primary differences with mine is that it also allows you to kill the engine by holding the switch for 3 seconds and it drives the multicolor LED in the OEM switch.
