Need Help! Headlights wont turn off. - Toyota Yaris Forums

...ok so today my factory alarm on my new sedan got activated when a friend got out of the car, this car didnt came w/ a remote, i just need to get the car on ACC or ON and it shuts off, but the thing is that after i shut down the alarm the headlights stayed on...i started the car, turned it off, basically did everything and the headlights wont turn off... since im a newbie idk if i need to hit a hidden button or w/e... i even had to disconnect the batt. cause if i didnt i was gonna end up with a dead batt.

i will really appreciate any help on this, thanks in advance!

Did the dealer install the alarm or did it really come from the factory? I bet thats where the problem is.

Installing alarms leads to problems like this in my experience.

It sounds like the relay contacts stuck for the headlight output. If that is the case, a slap of the unit will typically release them. If it is the OEM TVIP alarm system, then the module is behind the passenger glove box, against the fender well. If it is not the OEM system, then it is probably tucked under the steering column.

thanks for the advice guys, well i decided to go to the dealer and they told me theyve never seen this happen so they told me to leave the car tmrw so they could see what the problm is, cause i dont want to get my hands on the car and then getting told by those guys that i messed up the warranty since i bought this car 1 week ago...
