Blackout section between upper and lower grilles, opinions.

I want some opinions before I actually do this. I like the look but I'm just not sure. Take a look at my quick photoshop and tell me what you think.

If the lower grill was just a bit narrower...maybe. As you have it laid out....not a fan.

personally, I dont like the look. the grills don't match up enough to make it "flow". But its your car. If you like you, you should rock it!

this is an old picture of mine, which ive redone since then but the bottom grill i left the same. personally i love the way it looks and Id recommend it. i used plastidip but it took a couple tries to get it right, especially at the upper grill because of how it curves.

you could use plastidip too adn if you end up hating it peel it right up! just remember to pull the tape before each coat dries and re-tape. its a pain but its the only way to get a clean line.

like this but i changed it since then so the curve at the upper grill doesnt look so awkward.

Did you try it out?
thinking of doing the same on my red '08 LB. 08 should make easier lines I guess since the top grille is wider.

Capt... we're thinking along the same lines.
I was also considering the same idea, but my vents also have slanted edges even worse than yours and it doesn't look right if they're not vertical. That's one of my biggest laments on the 2012's, that they don't have rectangular vents.

Yours looks effing great!

It's because the black follows your vertical hood lines.

2012's don't got 'em.
