Best wheels for 2013 3-door 15'?
I had Michelin defenders on my 04' Rio. Loved the quality and ride improvement. I can't seem to find those for my car so I thought I'd ask you guys what's the next best choice? I'd like to maintain great MPG but also smooth out the ride compared with stock tires. Thanks!

I put the Defenders on my 15's a few months back. Got them at Costco.

Do NOT get American Radial tires. Awful.
I bought Hankook Optimo H727 tires about 30,000 miles ago, and they show little sign of wear, ride quietest of all tires I've used, go nicely over bumps, had excellent traction in snow when I lived up north, are directionally stable and were fairly cheap. I'm going to buy them again when they wear out (should last 80,000 miles). |

I have Firestone FR710s and I like the way they handle, their 'PSI flexibility', the MPG they help deliver, and their durability (I got 85,009 miles off my first set of FR710s (and could have kept them on longer)). I have almost 20,000 miles on my current 2nd set of 4 FR710s.

So we are talking only tires and not wheels right? A little confusing with your title. Anywho, I have these Kuhmo tires which I installed last year. They work great down to about 30 F and even do very well in hydroplane situations at higer HWY speeds (70-85mph):
https://kumhotireusa.com/news/index/202 They are a lightweight and quite tire as well. I am avg'ing 35/36mpg mixed driving and that is being boosted with my AFRs set to deliver 12.0 in boost which I tend to go into a lot

Thanks for all the suggestions you guys.
I am looking into both wheels and tires too, Sorry for the confusion. I will eventually replace both but rims are later down the road. I'm glad to see that I may still be able to get the Defenders, I really liked them on my Kia. I went to the Michelin site and they said there weren't any that are compatible with my car? I wonder why. Is the tire size weird or unique to the newer Yaris models? I'll look into the Kumho tires. I have heard that name before. I don't like Firestone as I've had a very dangerous blow out going a pretty slow speed. It destroyed a part of one of my older cars. >_< I'd considered Goodyear but didn't read too good of reviews for them. What do you guys think of these? http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...3/tire-details
