i think it may be a blown fuse. im trying to figure out why the amp wouldnt come out of protection mode. before it blew the fuse by my dumbass accidentally touching the wires together, it was working fine until the past few days had been really cold. then it went into protection mode which started causing problems and no output.

Fuse cover under dash has a diagram on it and lists fuses. Also if you have an aftermarket headunit check fuse on that as well.

How you testing fuses ?

I replaced the fuse and tested all wires with a light and they all have power the ground doesn't make the light come on does that mean I have a bad ground ?

i have removed everything from the amp except for the ground power and remote wire. it is still in protection mode so i brought the amp inside to have it warm up. can it be too cold for the amp to work? i know that they can overheat but idk if the amp can freeze. im about to check the wires on the subwoofer itself, but if that is ok i dont know what could be causing the amp to be in protection mode.

Crossed speaker wire , loose or touching is oje possibility for amp to go protect mode as for deck if after market it will have its own fuse on the back ...like 10amp

Yes it does turn on . There is just no output to the speaker because the amp is in protection mode.

i have a lanzar vector 1000 watt amp VCT-2110 I have a line out converter connected to the back speakers and the RCA wires running from that to the amp. the thing is it was working perfectly until it got really cold here. then it went into protection mode for no reason. i didnt touch my set up at all that has been working perfectly for well over a year.

Install amp in somebody elses car then. If it still protects time for a new one.
