Don't have that setup but with stock suspension u will be fine , no rub as for acceleration it all is about weight I'm on 15s and love it with 195 55 I find best set up ...u need to spend lots of $ to keep wheels light in the 17 inch size also ur gas mileage will go down and u will find car wonder on uneven roads .

Seriously, how many threads do you possibly need to start on this issue. Just go out and buy some damn wheels already.

Well. It would be nice to be sure. If anyone is currently using 205 45 17 on stock susspension your general feedback would be appreciated. I am sure there is a difference in overall comfort but is it significant ?

you have better luck going with smaller wheels, like 15s... i have 215/40/17 and id love to change them. it looks nice but it really does suck power.

I ran 15, 16, and 17 (with 205/45). I settled on 205/50/16 on 16 x 7, ET42. Looks good and performs very well.

Same setup I ran once. Yes, power and mpg took a hit, but looked real nice.

Like I said the FIRST time you posted your question, coupled with stock suspension you will not take a hit in comfort. Stock springs are so soft, they easily absorb whatever harshness shorter sidewalls want to introduce. In fact, you may find the car more enjoyable as it will feel more stable. This will be due to not compounding the softness of the springs with softness of taller sidewalls.

Again, rubbing will be a factor of offset. Get wheels with correct offset and there will be no issues. Screw up on offset, and yes there will be rub.

Now go out and buy some damn wheels already!
