FIC O2 connection

HI everybody

I'm about to install my aem fic on a 2sz-fe(2007) and i need some help with the O2 sensor connection> I've found wich wire is the signal wire(violet)
but i'm confused with aem's manual which says in one figure to add a 1k resistor and then tap and in other figure just tap!!
also engine is still NA is it necessary to connect fic to intake with the vacuum hose?

thanks for the help

Tapping into the factory O2 sensor is meaningless, if you're doing any sort of tuning I STRONGLY recommend a wideband O2 sensor. Since your engine is NA you don't need to connect the FIC MAP sensor, you can tune using your MAF sensor for now.

I know it is a bit useless but if i want to run rich will the factory ECU understand it,? and short trim the fuel map???
If i just tap it will the gauge(on fic software) work??

First, confirm weather or not you have an O2 sensor or AFR sensor. All Yaris newer than '06 have an AFR with the 1NZ-FE. I'm not sure about the 2SZ-FE.

in the manual it is mentioned like an AFR and it has 4 wires(ground, signal+,signal-,heater). so if it is an AFR who should the wiring will be??(in the aem manual in one of the figures the sensor has exactly the same wires, but it has several figures about O2)

The O2 sensors have 4 wires as well. 2 wires for the sensor circuit and 2 wires for the heater circuit.

If it is an AFR it should work with the FIC. I do not know if you need to add resistance.

An O2 and an AFR output a completely different signal. So if the FIC needs an AFR sensor don't waste your time hooking an O2 sensor to it.

I finally connected FIC with the O2 modifier wire just taped on Signal+ wire(no resistors)
and without the vacuum hose!
the car with the jumper harness works exactly like before! but when I plugged fic for the first time the car was hardly running even at idle and the check engine warning went ON
The OBD reads the warning like "MAF sensor low circuit input" and after 1-2 minutes with engine struggling also "crank and cam position sensor problem"
then i erased the warnings and INCREASED the MAF voltage by 4% the car now runs ok but it has sometimes unstable IDLE and when i step hard on the throttle it stalls for ~1sec!

I'm running the z107 firmware and stock engine for now(2sz)
any thoughts?
