Dyno test of my Yaris TS 2001

Hello guys,

It's my first post, and my english is not really good, but i'm a Yaris Fan

Here is a Dyno test of my stock Taris TS (2001 european model). About 110 Hp @ 5700 Rpm. Does it sound good to you ? The car has only 60000 km and performs very well.

I know that Toyota claims 105 Hp, but why not 110 Hp

I can tell you how i have obtained this result if you're interested.

Bye,
Cedric

Hello,

No mods, just a stock Yaris TS.

Does somebody else have a Dyno test of unmoded TS ?

not bad, the 1nz seems to only put about 85-90 to the ground stock.

Is this at the wheel, or crank?

Hello,

As i've said previously there is no modifications on the car, this is just a dyno test of my unmoded 1.5l Yaris TS.

It's crank power, i have considered 13% of transmission loss.

I have made the test using the 3rd ratio (1.392) and final drive (4.312). CdA estimated at 0.665.

Does somebody else has some dyno chart of a Yaris TS ? This chart seems pretty good to me, but perhaps i need to adjust some parameters in my software...

there's not a lot of the first generation Yaris here, as only this new one is released in many countries.

I've attached an official dyno chart from toyota for the 1NZ-FE engine, and you can click these to see some dyno charts done by ChinoCharles before and after installing a header:

Hello,

Thanks... I'm glad because my chart is really near than a roller dyno. As you may have guess, i'm the author of PowerDyn OBD, a road dyno using the OBDII plug. If you're interested by this method, let me know...

Now, i'm going to look around the forum to find some easy mods to improve HP, and i will send comparison charts with my stock result...

Bye
Cedric

hey that's cool

I have a Pioneer head unit with the Vehicle dynamic controller, it has a built-in dyno function as well, but quite basic, and I never really tried it properly...

Not so many ways to improve horsepower in our new cars, the older Yaris has quite a lot more stuff liek turbo or supercharger kits...
