Stupid Seatbelt!

this stupid seatbelt is pissing me off!
does anyone know if there is a way to adjust this thing so it stops rubbing on my neck? I have a hard time believing that this is the position small Asians prefer to have their seatbelts, it'd be rubbing on their foreheads. are they repositioned for the USDM?
gurr!!!

Post a pick of your b- pillar attachment point. Nobody is going to believe you don't have an adjuster.

here's angle #1

here's angle #2

do you think I can find a pivoting one in the junk yard? have you had your b-pillar off? do you know how the adjuster is attached? I guess I could go pull it apart and check it out....

The service manual shows that all sedans and 5 door liftbacks have the adjustable ones and 3 door liftbacks do not. The B pillar cover area is different one 3 vs 5 door, so you wouldn't be able to grab a 5 door one to use to convert.

Wow, didn't realize that about the 3dr. How ludicrous not to have incorporated an adjuster.

I'm sure plenty of 3dr owners read this thread and never bothered to respond. That's a YW fail for sure.

Owning a 3 door myself, I dismissed the comment about the adjuster because I had no idea any model had them. Thought the guy that posted that was confused lol. Never dreamed they'd make the 3 door different in that regard.

Having owned an "07 3-door until just a week ago, I never felt the need to adjust the seatbelt and just assumed all models had no height adjustment.

I wonder if my '14 5-door has a height adjuster? I'll have to check later.

My 2014 SE does NOT have height adjustable seat belts. I would assume that would be true for all 3rd gen Yarii.

Yup, no height adjustment for the seat belts on my 2014 LE... and thankfully I don't need that feature.

i'm taller that the average Asian. I don't understand why it's so high. i'm going to have to pull it apart and see if I can weld a different mount in to drop this thing like 3 inches. it can't be good to crash and have this thing rip my neck open...

I'm right about the height of the average Asian, which is probably why I find the 3 door seatbelt height to be comfortable.

You may be able to simply obtain the adjustable anchor (73200-52050-B1) and it's cover (73135-52020-B1) and cut the hole in your B pillar cover to let it slide up and down:
