Need some advice for this recall situation
I have 2007 yaris sedan . I have a family of 5 and most of times during week I need everybody in my car . Since this recall recommends nobody sit in passenger seat i called toyota and told them i need them to give me a loaner. Well alejandro from toyota called back and told me no and they wouldnt budge. Is there anything i can do? This is unacceptable. This is a huge problem. I dont want to take any chances with myself, wife or child in my vehicle. Is there like a higher up I can call?

There's quite a bit of info in this thread:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56722 Including the page on Toyota's site about the recall: http://www.toyota.com/recall/takata I thought I remember the Toyota page saying that if you could not avoid having passengers in the front, to contact Toyota to arrange alternative options. The page has had updates, so they may have changed things. This situation is very annoying. |

Checked my mailbox yesterday and got my recall notice. One of the FAQ's referenced the loaner car issue. You "may" be able to get "alternate transportation" if you press the issue hard enough.
