I had to go to BlackBerry when my Nokia candy bar phone wasn’t compatible with the third-generation networks. It’s a free phone from AT&T and I only pay $25 every three months to use it. You can use it all day long for two dollars. I only use my phone for emergencies. I actually seldom use it at all. I grew up in a very rural county of upstate New York and I remember the farmer who sold my parents land to build our house on drove model T pick up truck. I said to myself “someday when I’m grown up I’ll be doing the same thing!”

It’s actually pretty hard to find a company like AT&T selling Flip phones much less candy bar phones. I searched AT&T’s phones and I was lucky to get the BlackBerry for free. I don’t think they do that anymore all the phones they offer our smart phones.

Believe you me,Ive been trying to get unplugged for a while. deleted my facebook, I don't have a twitter or instagrammy, or one of them snapachats, all I have is a facebook messanger (which you can have separate from an actual full profile) and... like two or three car forums. I even cut down on data to 5 gb a month.
Ive been looking at these flip phones but theres one undeniably cool and three semi useful apps on the smart phone that work really well with the higher processing power google maps google translate calender my banking app when we get to the point of touch screen flip phones maybe hahah I bought my first phone in 2010 and have had a nice one since, but I only replace em when they get too broken to make calls or they become unstable (last phone I had was a droid razr maxx and it lasted me something like 4 years and now I'm on an LG g5 that's paid off. I think next phone ill try going to a flip phone and then get used to carrying a small tablet with me for gps and food look ups. |

Hilariously, I just bought this flip phone last night as a gag for my BMW loving brother-in-law after seeing it, and several other interesting flip phones, in this Unbox Therapy video.

Right?! Had to get it lol.
If you watch the video I discovered it from, you'll see that it makes an alarm sound, lights up, has a BMW theme to all the software menus and has a BMW grille shape to the speaker that bumps up against your ear. Just fantastic! |
