7.5 too wide?
currently running 205/50/16 on 7'' wheel.
I want to run 17 with 45 sidewall but they will be 7.5 wide. I get rub over large dips in the front(clip that attaches front bumper cover) Reason for 7.5 is that I can get a good deal on used. |

17 x 7.5 will work, but the offset is more of a consideration than the width.

^ facts Im also running 205/50 sidewall 15 inch rim, the offset matters more.

I believe its 40 or 45.
What about the skins,205 or 215? I would like to go stretched but no point as I am not low enough. P.S decided on Nitto Neo Gens. |

I have an 17" 215 setup in my garage that I used to run. IMO, 215 is just too f'n wide for this car.

What is your current summer setup?
I suppose the 215 bulbed out too much on the wall/s? |

Look in my garage for pics of car on the 17s. I've been on 14" Prius wheels for 3 yrs. Got tired of asking car to slog around big rubber.

Correcting myself. I've been off them for so long I'd forgotten the specs.
Wheels are 17x7 offset 38, rubber 215/40/17. Loved the look of the wheels, hated the setup. Sent from my Elite_5_5_Octa using Tapatalk

I ran 2 sets of Nitto Neo Gens on my 2007. Handling was outstanding! Noise was awful. Straight-line tracking at highway speeds was downright scary.

You should ne fine with 205's.
My daily set up is 7.5" 15" wheels with a +35. I run 195 wide rubber but they measure as wide as 205's. My track set up is 205 wide rubber on a 7inch wide rim with a +24 offset and I never run at the track. I've only rolled my rear fenders but that is because I have 10mm spacers back there. Keep in mind I have almost -3 camber up front and -1.5 rear. I'd personally run 20 15 wide but I don't want to deal with all of the rubbing

The noise was the least of it. Fighting to keep the little Yaris in lane on the highway was a struggle... and sometimes terrifying. Most are keenly aware that the Yaris tracks poorly with some tread patterns. Having experimented with many tyres, I found the Nitto Neo Gen to be among the worst. However, if you do limited highway miles and don't mind the sound of snow tyres, then the Neo Gen offers some amazing handling characteristics... and wears quite quickly. Btw, I ran 15's, 16's, and 17's on the Yaris, and I would never recommend 17's... even though they look great! |

This is 17x7.5 +40 Gram Lights on my 2004. If you stick to the lighter 17" they are not that bad.
