Linear coilover springs with Bilstein B8s?
Does anyone know if it's possible to run a linear coilover spring (Swift, Hyperco, Eibach etc) with front Bilstein B8 struts? I'm struggling to find info on the stock springs to determine whether the upper and lower perch are the same diameter and could be used in a linear spring, and what size it is to determine the size of linear spring to get.
I'm sure someone has either looked into this or possibly done it before so any information would be helpful. |

I have Bilstein B8s, and the spring perches are exactly the same as the factory shocks. I also can't see how you'd run coilover springs in place of factory ones. I'd suggest finding some factory springs and taking some measurements.

I'm thinking he's just using bad terminology. Suspect he is really speaking coil springs, not coilover springs.

I'm running Tein S. Tech springs and about to install Bilstein B8's. Should work fine. I'm just looking for better bump stops and top mounts before installing.

I know for Koni yellows for example, you can run linear springs with them on certain application. Figured maybe you could do the same with the B8's for the Yaris. |

Aren't the Tein's a progressive spring? I've considered those, but I'm thinking I want something a bit stiffer.

They are a progressive spring. My hope with the B8's is that they stiffen things a little and last longer than OEM under lowering.

My tokico blues are pretty rough, especially in cold weather.
