Ebay Cold Air Intake
Here you go, someones gotta give it a shot. The piping looks about right, the maf port looks to be in the right spot so that it wont throw a code. Has the vacuum port.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...spagenameZWDVW The only thing I see that is iffy is that the vacuum port is located next to the filter. If anyone has a reason why that may be bad for it, please post here. Otherwise you would need a good piece of extension hose that does not look included.

looks like a generic image to me... the vacume tube wont be long enough, unless it come with an extender
the weapon R is only $109 shipped, is it worth toying with this thing? |

i wouldnt waste my money on a SRI! they wont give you extra hp. if you like it loud then go and get it. CAI is probably better.

If anything I'd like to see some dyno numbers between a sri and a cai...On this car I doubt that you would notice the difference between the two.

I've owned a few eBay intakes in my time and I can say the hardware usually isn't very good, and the filters are junk. We actually have one on our other car (1998 Civic). The piping is beginning to oxidize, and the rubber bits are starting to desinigrate. If I bought an eBay intake for my car again, I'd chuck the craptastic filter and get a real K&N, too.

I made my own, on a different car, using two pieces or polished tubing, one urethane adapter for the TB end, and a K&N filter. Total cost: less than $75, and it lasted forever, looked great, and made a huge difference in sound and acceleration. The only drawback to that plan as far as the Yaris is concerned: figuring in those vac bungs

I already have a wai otherwise I would have probably given this a shot, just for curiousitys sake. It looks decently built. It is a CAI, definately way too long to keep the filter inside the engine bay. My only concerns were the air hose, and whether the maf wiring would be long enough. I agree the filter it comes with is probably junk, use it for a few thousand miles and then get a k&n, still keeps you decently under the cost of an aem or fujita CAI. Someone give it a try.

Looks good to me. Piping is piping, its just the filter that might be different. AEM makes the intakes for other companies like mr gasket, etc.....
