Wheel brands? - Toyota Yaris Forums

I want 17 inch wheels with a factory look, like the Canadian RS or similar. I'm not so concerned about weight and wonder what brands are descent on the low end of the price range. ADR? BSA? Nippon? Sportmax? Montegi? Enkei? Nex-O? What do people recommend are good quality and what brands should I avoid?

true, weight of tire and wheel should be a concern

I didn't mean I'm completely unconcerned about weight, thats why I'm looking at 17's and not 18's. I just think 15's and 16's look plain. I like the lower profile look like on the RS model. Back to the question; Descent brands at descent prices?

What he said. Enkei is a great wheel company and has been doing it for a very long time. I also like some Konig and Rota wheels. Can't go wrong with those.

ones you mentioned are HEAVY! Other than some Enkei's and track lite Motegi's. Go to edgeracing.com, they have plenty of nice, sub 20lb, 17" wheels for less than $200 each.

you may want ROTAwheels... its cheap,reliable,internationally known,very light you can lift it with your pinky...and yeah and its awesome!

VOLK-RACING IS NICE TOO, some is from Taiwan where they make GIANT brand Bikes...

or try the expensive but nice and light Japanese brands, the M.I.J. ones cost up to a grand each, or else get the taiwan made ones but its a japanese brand...

for the tires... get Pirelli, Yoko-ADVANs"damn expensive", Dunlop, Falken, or just get plain old Bridgestones Potenzas...

Expecting some Enkei OR52s in 16", and Toyo Proxes 4s in 205/45-16 to arrive tomorrow. I'll try to get a weight for you folks on the shop scale. Both from Edge racing at decent prices.

DECENT?! Those OR 52's are DEAD cheap right now! I'm anxiously waiting on your pics, as I'm thinking about biting the bullet and picking them up. Although, your tire size is a bit small....

Well, the OR52s and the tires came in. Not super light (actually, EXACTLY the same weight as the stock 15s)
I'm trying to figure a way to get a center cap (not included with wheel) and think I've got a handle on it - pics will follow if successful - it involves the small trim ring and some clear-coated carbon I "borrowed" from the dumpster at work.

if i was budgeting very tight i would get rota's. they make 80% off all the factory alloys on cars. they are lightweight and can take quite a beating. the falken hanabi rims on edgeracing.com are pretty light and nice. i'd probably get those myself or the 5zigen fno1rc 17"

uh reliable and rota shouldn't be in same sentence

a wheel where the center section and hoop seperate is not what i'd call reliable :lol:
