advice on size
Hi All,
I was offered a a set of 215/45/15 for a reasonable price. They are on GSR fat 5 wheels, the tires are primo (I never heard of them). Offset is 45. My car is not lowered. I believe I will get decreased mileage. Any advantage to these over stock? Most of my driving is straight line and usually in the city. Thanks, Steve |

I'd be interested in what the combined wheel/tire weight would be per corner. It is quite possibly a heavy setup, and with city driving, you'll be consuming more gas getting those things rolling.
215 is a wide tire, and with ET45 you may experience front end rubs at full turn. Sounds like you may be dealing with a friend or acquaintance. See if you can put them on as a trial and see what happens.

215/45/15 is a short tyre and will look miniscule on stock suspension. Plus, 215's don't work well on the Yaris... especially up front with ET45.

GSR wheels are 15x6.5 I believe. That's the same as my civic wheels and they fit well.
I don't think you should go over 205 with this size wheels. |

Personally I would never consider oversize tires/wheels on my Yaris. I was disappointed the car came with 15 inch wheels unlike the 14 inch wheels on my ECHO.
![]() Cheap is good! ![]() Now....I would totally consider four donut spares on my Yaris! ![]() Anyone done it?

Thanks for all the input.
Turns out the tires are 215/60/15 Firestone primewell ps 830's. Less than a sterling reputation. I'm passing on these after reading the reviews. Steve |
