Gauge Pod - Toyota Yaris Forums

I just purchased a 3 gauge pod for for my Yaris it came with no directions or hardware. Im not sure it will even fit or how they are even suppose to be installed here is a link to the one I purchased http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360262108973&ssPageNam e=STRK:MEWAX:IT I don't know if the dash is suppose to come out % if so where. Any help on where to start with the installation and where to begin would be greatly appreciated.

its a pillar overlay... I screwed mine to the factory pillar with the screws they gave me. i had to do a lil tweeking to get that "fit" that i wanted tho its not perfect by no means it works good for me.

rivots would probably be better than screws. and that pillar is easy to remove so you can make it 'perfect'.

and you dont have to completely install it first, you can drill the holes and set it up to be installed and then paint it, and then rivot it in.

I had actually looked at that listing and the seller said that the A Pillars are the same for the LB and sedan? That just didn't sound right to me so I never pulled the trigger. I think that I am going to either build my own gauge pod A pillar or else have someone make it for me. I found this site today: http://www.customgaugepod.com/

Seems like a pretty good site.

I like individual pods better, especially on the A pillar. just my preference, though.

Sleey the pod for the LB can be found almost any place for way lot cheaper and no. they are different

I just shipped both of my A Pillar covers off to Nathan at customgaugepods.com today. He will build out my pillar to house 3 pods, texturing both of them to match and then match paint them to factory color. He is charging me 138 shipped like he has listed on his site and that does include return shipping. It should be a 10 days turn around altogether. I will let you know and show some pics once they get back. This does not include a whole new A pillar cover...this is with my originals.

For the LB that is the case however I have read on some forums online that they are not as nice a fit as the OEM pillar cover. For us sedan guys theose ass clowns are leaving us out as a lot of vendors have done unless you import from a Vios country.
