I was under the empression that the yaris came with self learning technology. Anotherwards if your looking for mpg break it in that way. If your gonna run the crap out of it break it in that way. I broke my 06 scion xA for mpg and it couldnt get out of its own way. I have been running the crap out of my 08 yaris and it never lets me down. I have never had my yaris choke up on me. Is this possible or am i stuck in a time dialation bubble?

thats how i broke mine in. i plan on driving it hard so why wait to "break it in"?

klink- i mounted my main box under the steering wheel inside the dash. pull down the bigger cover under the wheel and from there run the wires to the pedal and then run the wires to your display, which i have inside my drivers glovebox.

Throttle response is SHARPER than on my cable linked cars. There is a lot going on in the ECU, not just throttle response. It will not go WOT if revs are low or timing retard due to ping/knock sense. Best thing you can do is keep the carbon off the piston tops (wail it and water it) and slippery oil in the cranckase with a real 88-90 ocatane quality fuel toikeep the timing at max adavance at low rpm; then it should be locked and loaded all times. This ecu will learn a FE mode due to driving style then you punch it and it says - FU guy! <or> THE SOLUTION: Take off the F.I. and put a string of Mikuni 28MM. from a crashed Suzuki 1000 cc GSX-R

Damn..I'd like a cheaper alternative though. 4 bills is too much. I'll try the nst pullies first.

That controller probably improves track times quite a bit, eh?

not sure. i would imagine if your track was twisty than coming out of turns would improve.

So I don't get it. Does this thing actually eliminate the delay? Or does it provide 90% of the throttle, during the first 10%, WITHOUT eliminating the delay?

I would say the same thing about my auto. If I'm driving conservatively(i.e. most o the time and punch it, there's a delay. IF I'm racing around town and keep the revs up the response is sharp as it can be.

Yeah I have this problem too, especially while trying to pick-up speed while entering or transitioning freeways. I have to shift down one more gear to match the traffic speed and prevent a wreck, at the expense of temporary engine strain.

DBC conversion sounds good right about now

Finished my Blitz today and went for a test drive. All those problems are solved. I couldn't stop driving it....TC makes it a whole new car.
