It is more pronounced in the auto because you wait for the throttle to respond, there there is a delay while the transmission downshifts.

Throttle response is SHARPER than on my cable linked cars. There is a lot going on in the ECU, not just throttle response. It will not go WOT if revs are low or timing retard due to ping/knock sense. Best thing you can do is keep the carbon off the piston tops (wail it and water it) and slippery oil in the cranckase with a real 88-90 ocatane quality fuel toikeep the timing at max adavance at low rpm; then it should be locked and loaded all times. This ecu will learn a FE mode due to driving style then you punch it and it says - FU guy! <or> THE SOLUTION: Take off the F.I. and put a string of Mikuni 28MM. from a crashed Suzuki 1000 cc GSX-R

Yeah I have this problem too, especially while trying to pick-up speed while entering or transitioning freeways. I have to shift down one more gear to match the traffic speed and prevent a wreck, at the expense of temporary engine strain.

DBC conversion sounds good right about now
