Coolant on our vehicles are designed for 100k for the first change and 50k every change afterwards. You need to make sure you purchase toyota only coolant as it is specifically designed for our cars and radiators. You also need to premix it with a 50/50 of distilled water.
Draining from the peakcock valve on the radiator will only get approx half of the coolant out of the motor as some is going to be left in the hoses and engine block. Proper way to be using a coolant flush machine that gets all the coolant out and puts all new coolant in. Something that any service shop can do. |
