There won't be any turbulence issues with such a smooth oversized parabolic profiled entrance. Half of the Weapon R intake curve is actually inside the 90 degree fitting to smooth the transition, and the relationship of the throttle body to the MAF sensor remains unaltered.
 That's the main reason I like the BLOX velocity stack/filter so much. None of the other intakes are quite like it.
