$2500 Turbo Kit update 11/2/08

+ 1 with the scoop a la Impreza WRX. If you've ever seen under the hood of a WRX it looks exactly like this.
I reckon the yaris would look awesome with a WRX hood scoop.

My only problem with this is whether it will clear an aftermarket intake manifold when they are completed. You gotta remember you need the clearance for that. If the clearance is fine, then I say a late model Celica style scoop.

Also, is there going to be a heat shield offered for the ECM? Looks kinda close to it in terms of the heat being let off.

well that style is a good concept cause the tilt would be fucional depending on the intake mani. the mor it stick out give it a better angle. . .

I would like to know the opinion from the guy making the kit...

hoods are cheap.. i say do the V-mount design that thejesta posted, and chop that hood open :D

This is the TRD TMIC for the 1NZ on the first gen Yaris TS.

It doesn't even use an hood scoop. I has like a plastic device attached under the hood that takes the air from the front grill and channels it to the IC.
