I had an 1st gen nissan quest similar to the pic attached. The side windows had a nice slim hinge and the rear had power. Removing the middle windows were easy: pop the trim and unfasten 4 bolts.

For drilling the window, you use a diamond drill bit or bring it to a glass shop.

If someone is serious about experimenting with this they can have the left side window (that I posted the picture of above) just for the cost of shipping. I expected to break the window removing it, and was very surprised when I did not. I was going to throw it away, but then figured I'd hang onto it in case someone without glass coverage needed it.
