Basically it helps clear electric noise that may interfere with some of the electronic equipment on the car, that's about the best I can do...I'm not an electrical engineer. It did make a difference though, a noticeable one. Mainly I don't get the shakes now when the AC and cooling fan kick on @ idle, which is exactly what I was hoping for.There's a lot more info at that link I posted above.
