![]() Car is noisy on freeway compare to others like a 2.0 or 2.5L cars, is the engine that roars and i guess insulation isnt the best. But you will get used to it so it's not a problem When you are in the highest gear(AT) at 50mph, rpm is about 2300, at 60mph is about 2900, and 70mph is about 3200, redline 6300 I think MT has different gear ratio so the numbers would be different. |

EDIT: oh wait this kid is Canadian. Okay well going 50-60kph you're looking at 2800+/- rpm. I usually shift into 4th for overdrive at that speed. The highway noie is there, but I hardly ever notice because I play music. There are thigns you can do like spraying sound insulating foam (sometimes referred to as tar foam) in the wheel wells. I've yet to try the foam bit myself but am looking into it. |

Well, WOW, that's a lot of RPM ! It's a small engine, so it's understandable, but it's still impressive to me. Thanks a lot for the info, though Asfor the insulating foam... that sounds AMAZING ! I'll look that up. Maybe I could buy some for my parent's Sienna I'll still be driving for a year xD I'll be blasting the music, everytime I'll be in the Yaris, so it's not a big issue
