It's here!
  I should have time to install it and my 1zz throttle body on Friday. Also, a shot of the inside of the plenum. Those are some nice ramps leading into each runner!  By the way, what's all of this hardware that came with the manifold for? I imagine it's pretty easy to figure out once I have everything apart but I figured I'd ask.

I had exactly the same issue. The ports clean up nice and easy with a grinder and there's plenty of material there so weld strength is not compromised.  There's three approaches, one is a smooth flush recesses like yours, another is smooth raised ramps...  and a third is where the stack protrudes into the plenum... |
