happens here too.. I don't think our cars were designed to work in these extreme temperatures. If it was a bad bearing, then you would hear it clucking..

I believe the gas companies use a winter formulation in their gas, also if you are running snow tires, and the cold all conspire to give less than optimal gas mileage.
