Hello everybody,

I am from Greece!
I have a 2012 Mk3 Yaris, made in France.

I bought an ebay fog light kit(lamps wiring and switch), installed the lamps, the wiring already exists.
I cannot do the connection inside the cabin for the switch.

I have read all the threads for ebay fog lights. I put a fuse for front fog lights under the dash panel .

Connecting pin 3 to pin 4 in the stalk light switch will not light my front fog lights.
Everybody says that relay already exists(i cannot see it). What am i doing wrong??
My Yaris has alarm installed by Toyota, i dont know if this helps somewhere.Furthermore my genuine toyota light switch installed on the car has only a spring powered switch for the rear fog lights . There is no position in the geuine switch for the front fogs.

Shall i buy a new toyota switch with two positions??
Every opinion is appreciated! I have been searching everywhere, Toyota here in greece say that they do not help me because it is aftermarket and if sth goes wrong i will blame them.(I cannot understand that since the wiring already exists , there is nothing aftermarket except the plastic cover from the lamps)

I think if you have used the existing wiring circut (as I did on mine) a new (second hand) switch/stalk is the best solution. Its going to look like factory installed. By the way can you send a link of your ebay purchase? Does it have any manual?

Have you inserted grey relay? Refer to photos on 24 of this post.
If you have used the existing wiring, inserted the grey relay, your fogs are working (you can verified that by connecting them straight to the battery) and toyota stalk has the front fogs option your front fogs should come up along with your lights

where do i get the grey relay? mine is a LHD and it is really hard to find relay.it is under the steering wheel(not the glove box)

In a greek yaris forum one guy said that in his french made yaris the relay was already in place, he just pluged the lights and used a switch

FINALLY!

took the gray relay from the fuse box in the engine area(i dont know if it was needed there, everything still works in the car).Installing the relay in LHD models is not that easy, you will have to find the spot next to one blue relay(many wiring and other stuff in there)
Front fog lights work now!!

So, in brief, if you want to install ebay fog lights with yari's existing wiring , you have to:

1) plug the lights in the front bumper and connect them to the existing wiring
2) buy a genuine light stalk/switch that has 2 positions(one for front fogs and one for rear fog)
3) make sure that the fuse for the front fogs is in place(in the fuse box that is in the cabin)
4)buy a grey relay ,if needed. (Toyota 90080-87021) (you can find one in the fuse box in the engine area,i am not 100% sure if you are supposed to remove it )
5)install the relay in the cabin ,if needed. in LHD models you install it on the left side of the steering wheel next to a blue one.(quite hard to find , try more)
6) front fogs now work , the light on the dashboard for the front fogs also lights!

A big thanks to Karlos for his help!

Pleasure. I am happy to hear now you have your fogs working. We all are here to help. I've been in the same position as yours and found the answer here.
By the way I would strongly recommend to put the grey relay back to where you took it from. It is there for a reason.
Anyway well done neofitos
