The 6th gear is the same as your 5th anyway so you don't benefit from lower rpms, is the C59 fifth gear taller? If so what you mentioned sounds like the perfect solution to the 5 speed, shorter 1st and maybe even 2nd gear but have a taller 5th gear to reduce highway rpms. |

C50 5th gear is 0.815:1 With the 4.31 final drive, the longer C59 5th gear drops the cruising RPM to around where the stock 3.72 would be at with the 0.815 5th gear, give or take a couple hundred rpm. Extra shifting doesn't bother me, I love driving stick, every aspect of it. Its just muscle memory at this point lol
