The pressure sensor is for oil pressure. You would mount that somewhere where you can see the oil pressure, like at the filter sandwich adapter that they mention in the instructions.

Ahh. I see, so he would need that (optional) adapter for the oil pressure sensor.
Sorry, I thought that picture was of the block that the pressure sensor was in. Here is LtNoogies thread which might help? |

I looked through that thread but didn't notice it, does anyone know what the thread pitch of the Yaris oil filter is so I get the right sandwich adapter?

I am not using one though, so I know it's not required to install an oil pressure gauge.

Since you are running a standalone, are you running an oil pressure sensor in place of the stock oil pressure switch?

Ok so I got a sandwich adapter for the oil filter, moved all the sensors to the right places, etc. I have the "live unit" tied up by the ECU. What would be the best place to tap into for power for it? The guy in the other thread powered his gauges from inside the car, but I'd rather just power it from the engine bay fuse box if I can.

Shaft. So to get ignition switched I'll just have to plug into that panel under the dash and route it back through the firewall? Will it be OK to ground it to the frame or do I need to run the ground back through to there also?

Chassis grounding is fine. You can go through the little grommet that is right above the ECM for making your way into the cabin.

I've been using the one that the AC pipes go through over on the driver's side, mostly just because that's the only one I could see haha. I have the first gauge in and connected. All that's left is power, I have the wires in place for that but left my sockets at home so I couldn't get the ground connected during my lunch break.
