More like this...

I've always loved trains so I built my own little backyard riding railroad. It took a year and a half to lay 200 feet of rail. I designed and built this pull cart.

It's a blast to ride because the grades are as steep as 7% making it as much of a rollercoaster as a train.
The neighborhood kids love it too.

This will give you an idea of the grades. Had to do a lot of testing while laying the rails to make sure they were safe to ride.

yeah, that's pretty cool. You've made a lot of progress since the earlier videos.

What controls the speed besides the track itself? Brakes?

Gotta have brakes on this railroad or you die!

Both geared axles are chained together so when the brake pads press against the front wheels, and rears also slow down.

I tried a few wild rides on the flat car using "foot brakes". Too much velocity and I just get thrown off when the flat car hits the curves at the bottom of the hill.

The entire line of tooter products is now back in stock.

It weighs 7 3/4 pounds...

I'm pretty sure I had done a comparison with the weight of the stock manifold. It's likely buried somewhere in this thread but I couldn't find it.

The power gains from the back to back comparative dyno run charts are:

tooter manifold + stock 1NZ throttle body: +3.4hp +1.3tq
tooter manifold + 1ZZ throttle body: +6.6hp +2.8tq

All the figures are rounded down to the nearest tenth so as not to falsely enhance them.

Depending on how the 'ole pay check looks, I might be placing an order at the end of this month

You should start a fresh thread =P

No problem, there's no time limit. I'll always be keeping a small inventory of all the parts whatever you decide.

Thanks.

Sorry I don't want to read back through the entire thread:

-What about finishing / can you offer powdercoating or polishing?
-remind me again, will I have problems installing this in a 2010 5spd hatchback with an AEM CAI? (including a 1zz TB that I have already)
-you've been showing one with a new design (the alien looking end thing) - its pictured below and you mentioned it in post #1191................................... when will this version be coming out? (you called it the ET)

Cheers

Will

I totally understand... it's kinda huge.

No, however the manifold comes stainless steel bead blasted and ready to accept any finish you'd like to apply.

The tooter manifold relocates the throttle body about 2 inches to the right from the stock location. So if your intake has enough room to move about 2 inches, you'll be fine. This is how the throttle body looks with the stock air box.

Here you can see the difference in the throttle body's orientation from stock by its relation to the stock air box. 2 inches were trimmed off of the stock rubber intake tube to make it fit the stock air box. Your CAI's mounting point locations would be different as well as the location of the filter in your fender well so it would definitely need to be modified. Shortening it a couple of inches and adding a silicone coupling would likely work.

Right now the tooter et is just a crazy experiment.
I'm going to build it, dyno it, and drive around with it on my Yaris just to see how it works.

No. The only boosted ones I've ever seen were guys in Puerto Rico who had the original idea.

There's one pic of another one, but I haven't been able to find it yet. I think it would shine in a forced induction setup because it can handle pressure and has a higher flow capacity. That would shift the power limiting factor to how much flow the head could handle.

Found an example of the next idea I'd like to try...

...a manifold with no plenum.

Will you use individual velocity stacks for each runner?

I'm just rounding and smoothing the openings that are already on the manifold like the one on the upper right.

The exit of the main intake tube that feeds the four runners is a bellmouth profile rounded to 180 degrees. I'll be cutting a hole in the hemisphere when I determine the right angle for the throttle body to set. The round base of the plenum has an advantage in that it can be rotated to generate just the right attitude for the throttle body to set. Then when that has been determined, the position can be indexed and the sphere can be welded into place.
