FEELER: Any interest in camber plates or hub spacers?

My buddy on Scionlife and in my carclub I am in is a machinist. He makes shims and camberplates for Scions and is going to use my car as a test car for Yaris and xDs.

His cost is very reasonable and the materials and work is top quality and I believe he does free shipping too.

If there is interest let me know, these are not the wheel spacers but the bolt on hub spacers, much safer and better than a wheel spacer.

Adding the link to his products: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168127

I am also still working on gettign the Harness bar for the HB.......my divorce has gotten in the way the last month and money is tight so I have not been able to make the drive north to the manufacturer to get the measurements done up...but it is also still a go.

They aren't safer and better, but they don't require a longer stud, so they are simpler, which is good. How would these be different than the Penguin garage hub spacers?

Well by placing the spacer behind the bearings instead of pushing out the wheel from the bearing it reduces loads on the bearings.

Of course adding camber plates my guess is that the load on the bearing changes again, probably for the worse......since it is riding loaded on one side slightly.

We can argue the wheel bearing issue forever, there will always be two opinions. Fact is, there is little evidence to support your view.

With that said, I like hub spacers and use them on my own car. It's a good product that serves its purpose.

Geez Garm......not trying to argue with you......you feeling ok.

Wheel spacers are fine as well when used properly.......just gauging interest in a product for the Yaris.

We have been using them for several years on Scions and they work fine.I also use wheel spacers at times.

Hey if no one is interested I will tell him not to bother and leave it at that.I really dont feel like being picked apart for offering up a product to see if there is any interest in it.

Thanks to the Mods helping with the wording of this......I am never good with words.....lol

This is at this time just a feeler to see what people may want,we are trying to crossover what we use on Scions to the Yaris platforms.....a much overlooked car for mods in reality.

I am going to be the test mule this Saturday and get measurements done,we will do a DIY,and work on becoming a sponser for the camber plates at least and working with currant sponsers to supply.

We just build cars,we do shows,we autox, and we pay it forward,it is not about making money, but building a sweet ride.
